On-site activities at the Double T

  • One mile of Shields River frontage – fishing, swimming, floating out your backdoor
  • Miles of private hiking and biking trails
  • One acre trout-fishing/swimming pond with dock
  • Huge lawn area with golf tee,  horseshoes, bocce ball court, shuffleboard court, volleyball and basketball.

  • World class fishing close by on the Yellowstone, Boulder, private spring creeks, or many other blue-ribbon Montana streams and rivers
  • Whitewater rafting of all levels
  • Yellowstone Park tours – all seasons

Once situated, you have access to true gems in the surrounding area:

  • Bridger Bowl and Bohart Ranch, 15 miles due west, offer downhill skiing for all levels and an extensive trail system for cross-country skiing, respectively
  • Livingston, 20 miles down the road, is a great little country town with live music and some good quaint little restaurants
  • Yellowstone National Park, 80 miles to the south and open December 15 through March 15, is magnificent in the winter for activities and wildlife viewing
  • Chico Hot Springs, just 45 miles south, offers hot springs, spa services and fine dining
  • White Sulphur Springs, 50 miles to the north, is home to great “rustic” hot springs
  • Bozeman, about 50 miles away, hosts many cool little shops, restaurants and pubs downtown as well as the airport

On and around the ranch, you can experience the best of winter in Montana:

  • Cross-Country skiing on groomed trails
  • Snow shoeing along the Shields River
  • Wildlife viewing (we share the place with deer, elk, eagles, and many others)
  • Warm up by the fire pit
